The studios have been promising to stir things up with Guardian’s….since their announcement to make it. Not as high up on the Marvel franchise, Disney is taking a chance with this whole new breed of superheroes. Since the Avenger’s movie, we could see the fight slowly being drawn up to the heavens, so the introduction of this intergalactic rag tag team of mavericks will be just what the doctor ordered, especially in light of the Avengers sequel “Age of Ultron” which ties into the character Drax’s storyline. I admit, that GOTG fell completely off my radar while growing up. I’m not really sure how that happened, but it did. That being said I am very curious to see this film, since it doesn’t have Samuel L. Jackson in it.
An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits–Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon; Groot, a tree-like humanoid; the deadly and enigmatic Gamora; and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand–with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.
Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer,Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket Racoon, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Benecio Del Toro as Taneleer Tivan/The Collector and Karen Gillan as Nebula.
